How long does it take to get a master degree in forensic science?
i want to become a crime scene investigator but in order to that i have to have a masters degree in forensic science so i was wondering how long does it take to get that degree

Assuming that you stick to a normal courseload, 4 years for a bachelors and then 2 for the masters
Generally you don’t need a master’s degree to be a crime scene investigator. At many departments the CSIs are police officers, and frequently police officers don’t need a degree at all–they get their skills first in the police academy, then in advanced training classes the department sends them to. That’s how my department operates.
You don’t even need a master’s degree to be a scientist in the crime lab; to work in an accredited lab, all you are required to have is a bachelor’s degree. I have never heard of any organization that requires more than a bachelor’s degree for an entry-level job, so it may not be as hard as you think to get your foot in the door.
